Kayla & David | A Timeless Spring Wedding at Woods & Co. | Pepin, Wisconsin

There's something about a spring wedding that feels like a fresh start, and Kayla & David's day at Woods & Co. on May 26, 2026 captured that feeling completely. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this celebration was going to be classic, romantic, and rooted in faith — the kind of day that feels timeless the second it's happening.

Getting Ready in the Primrose Suite

The morning began in the Primrose Suite, where Kayla and her girls settled in to get ready surrounded by soft light and easy laughter. There's a particular kind of calm in those early hours before a wedding — the quiet excitement, the last sips of coffee, the final touches before everything begins. The suite gave us a beautiful, relaxed space to soak it all in before the day picked up its pace.

A Ceremony Before the Rock Wall

Kayla and David chose to say their vows outdoors, in front of Woods & Co.'s striking limestone cliff wall. As a backdrop for a ceremony grounded in faith, it felt exactly right — rugged and natural on one hand, quietly grand on the other. Framed by the surrounding woods, it was the kind of setting that didn't need much else to feel sacred. Watching two people commit their lives to each other and to God in a space like that is something I don't take for granted.

Reception in the Glass House

What sets Woods & Co. apart is really its setting, and nowhere is that more true than the Glass House reception room. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the space, dissolving the boundary between the manicured interior and the forest just beyond it. On Kayla and David's spring wedding day, the room was flooded with soft afternoon light, the surrounding greenery practically pulled indoors through all that glass. It's a space that feels elegant and serene all at once, and it gave the whole reception a quiet, magical glow.

An Evening Under the Trees

As the day moved into evening, the reception space came alive with string lights strung overhead and the warm glow of the fireplace pulling guests in close. The floor-to-ceiling windows blurred the line between the forest outside and the celebration inside, so even once the sun started to dip, the woods never felt far away. Guests gathered at the outdoor bar and around the cocktail tables scattered through the space, and the whole evening had that easy, elegant rhythm that makes a reception memorable.

Sunset at Lake Pepin

My favorite part of the day came right as the light started to turn gold. We slipped away for just a few minutes to Lake Pepin, only a short drive from the venue, to catch the sunset over the water. Kayla and David, still riding the high of everything that had just happened, stood together as the sky did the rest of the work. It was quiet, it was beautiful, and it felt like the perfect way to close out a day built on tradition and romance.

Congratulations again to Kayla & David — thank you for trusting me with a day this meaningful.
